Sadly I lost a load of photos of produce etc. my phone has been playing up a lot.
Here’s a couple I took which survived:
Loads of produce!
A view of the raised beds.
And the corn!

This is the latest from the relocated time lapse camera showing our crops growing!
The mangetout are still on their quest for world domination. They’re approaching the 2.5ft mark and I’ve only ever had mangetout that get about 1ft high, produce a single pod and drop dead, so it’s a good start.
As you can see from the above under the mangetout we’ve got squash and they’re settling in nicely.
And the chard is getting a little thick stemmed.
I’ve also had to tie up the tomatoes on the outside. They’re leaps and bounds forward compared to the ones in the greenhouse which is pretty surprising.
My beds are bursting at the seams now!
The three sisters bed seems to be working well – currently its still two sisters, but we’re soon adding beans I hope!
Look! Strawberries! Not as yet as well developed as my parents who live a mile away. Must be the altitude as I live on a hill – theirs are red and look like I should be eating them.
The brussel sprouts are doing well – not yet covered in black fly either so there’s hope yet.
Beans and mangetout are climbing well. I’m not sure how tall giant mangetout get. Last years variety barely manged a foot, we’re well above that, but I think they were a standard variety!
Our second set of sweet corn has gone out and is growing fast. Hopefully their growth will be caught on the relocated waarkcam!
Something else is also coming along… Only 7 weeks to go…!
It’s been a year in the new place and I’ve gotten round to making the video from the time lapse recorder. I’m ashamed to say after the first two or three months, the camera ran out of juice, but the important bits were captured!
It’s time to move the camera and it’s now focused purely on the vegetable beds and greenhouse now. Hopefully we won’t see too much of the cats using the raised beds as giant litter trays…
It’s all looking pretty good sitting on my new patio. Now I only need to get the fence panel behind me to stop rattling!
We’ve got the water butt pump working and the IBCs are really coming into their own. Only last week it was torrential rain, but now the clay is cracking and I’ve got beans that need a healthy supply!
Last night we had a fairly heavy frost (lots of ice on the windshield this morning) which is shocking due to the really mild almost summer temperatures we’re getting.
Fortunately the frost didn’t get the plants under plastic in the raised beds (I guess I won’t really know for a few days though!) and as you can see we’re off for a racing start on most our salads and root veg (I can almost taste the carrots and beet root!)
So spring really has now sprung and looking forward to the 5am watering sessions before work!
You could be mistaken in thinking I’d toiled down a coal mine. Rest assured it’s only compost but it’s coverage is a surprising 99.9% including even heavily clothed areas. Here for instance, I was wearing gloves. Thankfully that was only against blisters!
All the soil moved…
Leaving just a little required to fill to the top!
As you can see I’m now being slave driven by the wife to dig compost and load up the raised beds without break or rest. She has told me if we do not have enough compost she’s going to murder me and put my body in one of the raised beds.
At least the beans will be well fertilised next year.
