Mushrooms on toilet rolls
Hardly looks like a gourmet delicacy, but we’ve definitely got mushroom buds!
Mushroom toilet roll update #3
Last 2 days the toilet roll has been in the fridge. As you can see the spawn has now covered the toilet roll and even started to creep down the sides. It’s even outperformed the mould that had started to grow.
The cold from the fridge will have shocked the spawn into fruiting. Sometime soon I’ll have a crop of oyster mushrooms awaiting a stir fry or casserole!

Update (from Wednesday night!) of my mushroom toilet roll!
On Sunday it’ll be moved into the fridge for its cold shock treatment before moving on into a cooler location to start fruiting!
